MSME’s a very large number and real contributors towards the Make In India initiative. We could see outsourcing by large industries increasing. That will be the in thing henceforth and logically MSME’s are on a growth path. It is time to put in systems, tools, gadgets to measure GHG emissions by MSME’s and various parameters which can quickly be stressed viz., zero-defect production, packaging, input fuel measurement, etc., Large industries when they choose their vendors should start guiding the MSME’s towards the Green initiatives and support them. In fact, they should subsidize certain costs towards this and technically guide their supply chain be it manufacturing, logistics or whichever depending on the industry vertical towards going Green on a war footing.
